Opening Part 1[]
The film's opening went through several incarnations, but the intent was always structured around a giant monster chasing one the films' protagonist, Emile and the object of his affections, Maud.
Opening Part 2[]
The second version of this opening was essentially the same, with Emile wooing Maude, when they are interrupted by the alligator. Emile vanquishes the beast, the 'world' disintegrates, and Emile wakes from his dream.
